Community

EMW plays an important role in supporting the communities where we live and work.

Our employees are vital to the economic survival of small communities. In addition, EMW contributes time, materials and expertise by helping with projects in our communities.

We have contributed to:

  • the Bredenbury Festival of Lights
  • Saltcoats Daycare
  • Saltcoats Minor Sports
  • the Canadian Cancer Society
  • the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada

In every community where our employees live, we contribute in positive ways.

Environmental Responsibility

EMW is committed to protecting the environment by controlling the impact of our business operations. We’re proud and pleased to be able to recycle scrap materials, old equipment, used lubricants and containers from all our work projects.

Initiatives

Bredenbury Festival of Lights

EMW Industrial lends equipment and picker trucks to hang lights and decorations.

Saltcoats Daycare

Many of our employees make their home in Saltcoats.  As a family-oriented business, the establishment of a daycare, which opened June 16, 2008, was an ideal place to contribute EMW labour.

Saltcoats Minor Sports

We contributed the steel and materials to build new dugouts at the ball diamonds.   When Ducks Unlimited purchased land in the area, we planted and harvested the crop, donating the proceeds to Saltcoats Minor Sports.

Canadian Cancer Society

EMW's team TEAMO participates every year in Relay for Life in memory of Troy Morrison and support for The Canadian Cancer Society.

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada

In honour of the people we hold dear, we contribute and volunteer to raise funds for Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis to help put an end to the medical conditions that affect our families so that we can all enjoy health and prosperity.
